I like to make noise. I pretentiously call myself a composer and am currently pretending to work at SARC in Belfast. If you want, you can look at my website. I keep it updated pretty regularly as new events are booked and new projects are created. It also has my official biography and full CV. Here’s a recent project.

Hi from dallas Simspon

Greetings from dallas Simpson, I just joined the site . It looks very interesting as I am heavily involved in binaural soundscape composition.

Mix 46

An audio installation by Jon Aveyard presented at the Convivencia Symposium.  This acousmatic piece was edited together from 46 extracts, each between 30 and 90 seconds long, of the interdisciplinary performance group theybreakinpieces improvising in the recording studio.  The three members of the group wore in-ear binaural microphones so that the recordings captured the improvisations from the performers’ subjective points-of-audition.  The piece has been diffused over multi-speaker sound systems but is best heard over headphones to appreciate the binaural recordings.
