Live Archives Workshops Day3 Barry Parsons

Today I made these loops. The first is of a gasp, and Paul talking, and some other sounds. The second has someone making sounds with their mouth. The third has someone singing a short scale. I’ve never done anything like this before. Made me feel like a bedroom musician. There’s a quality of amateurism there that I like. This is a word I like, which used to be wholly positive. Amateur, lover of… I’m discovering the pleasure of collecting, secreting and manipulating sounds, classifying and hoarding them.
