I’m a theatre director/performance maker who’s currently Artistic Director of CETL(NI): The Centre for Excellence in the Creative and Performing Arts, an interdisciplinary arts programme at Queen’s University Belfast - one of Queen’s 3 Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Too long a title I know. I’m making up a diverse and eclectic load of interdisciplinary projects and performances here and also running a new interdisciplinary arts MA experience which has modules called “Adventures in Interdisciplinarity” and “Further Adventures”. I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Preston, UK. I graduated from UCLAN in 2006 with a 1st class degree in Music Practice and am currently undertaking an MA by Research there. My current research aims to develop a composition method involving the dislocation and relocation of affordances in interdisciplinary performance environments. I am also currently developing interactive documentation for my work as Muted Cell. I frequently perform noise music, and interdisciplinary performance, as well as absurdist, and jazz improvisation.
