I’m a theatre director/performance maker who’s currently Artistic Director of CETL(NI): The Centre for Excellence in the Creative and Performing Arts, an interdisciplinary arts programme at Queen’s University Belfast - one of Queen’s 3 Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Too long a title I know. I’m making up a diverse and eclectic load of interdisciplinary projects and performances here and also running a new interdisciplinary arts MA experience which has modules called “Adventures in Interdisciplinarity” and “Further Adventures”. AHDS Performing Arts supports research, learning and teaching with high quality and dependable digital resources related to music, dance, theatre, radio, film, television, and performance. AHDS-PA is currently undertaking research into what constitutes a digital record of a performance, how performances are/can be represented and archived, and how both data creators and users see these records being used in the future. The Arts and Humanities Data Service preserves digital data in the long term, promotes good practice in the use of digital data, provides technical advice to the research community, and supports the deployment of digital technologies.
